What is the site about?
The main objective of this website is to provide resources, graphics, tutorials for the visitors, whether they be brushes to upload onto their favourite editing programs, such as photoshop, paint shop pro, or photofiltre, or teach somebody something new with the tutorials.
This all sparked from my initial passion of graphic design, and so together i united two of my biggest interests through what i prefer to call an e-Portfolio, rather then just another 'website' :) The website is also set up to showcase my designs to the public, the one place that people can view my content without complications,
by owning this website i can easily link spectators to my url and they'd be acessing my portfolio of graphic and webdesigns.
I hope my website doesnt undermind any of those objectives, and that my website achieves its full potential.
History of Infernogrfx
Around 2004, was the beginning of my passion for graphics. It all began though social networking sites and forums such as wickedcolours.com where i saw amazing animated icons used as default pictures..
I'd often ask other to create my icons, but most of the time they were reluctant to help, so i decided i should begin creating my own, i'd always been artisic and willing to try new things, so i began researching how and where to make them.
I was advised to start using
PAINT SHOP PRO X by another user of wicked colours, and also to download JASC ANIMATION SHOP as they were the best programmes around at the time,
I brought the £85 pound program off ebay, and started to experiment with photos, starting with simply changing the saturation and hue of pictures,
I'd then started to google seach 'tutorials' as i'd heard from a friend that these had helped her learn advance picture editing and graphic design,
when i came across sites such as
whateverlife.com which taught me how to animate on the JASC ANIMATION program, and also
swimchick.net
and
outspokenkate.com which taught me more advance skills such as blending, layering and how to use other resouces - brushes and textures,
I'd picked alot of hints and tips for how to make my graphic designs more visually dynamic to the usual edits i'd started with.
Meanwhile i had a workshop on mcfly street team, where other users requested graphics such as avatars, signatures,
animations etc this i thought helped me experiment alot more with paint shop pro,
When the craze of PICZO.COM came around in around 2005, i used my graphic knowledge to showcase my skills on my personal site,
i recieved many compliments and was advised from a friend to set up a 'site' on myspace, where i'd make my myspace page graphics,
and compete through 'votes' to see who'd made the most original and creative pieces, and so 'OH SO FAB' was created.
The site progressed over the years, and i'd reached the peak of popularity among the public, i had over 8,000 friends who requested graphic designs from me,
for personal reasons such as Party invitations, Posters, Cd covers, Myspace page headers etc. Unfortunetly i was hacked by another myspace user who deleted my content and my friends,
it sounds ridiculous being upset over a myspace scandal but i was upset as i'd worked very hard on building a reputation. That'd when i decided that myspace wouldn't be reliable for hosting my graphics,
I changed my sitename and started new - on myspace, i made an account so i could easily update and keep in touch with the viewers, but i linked my content to a sub-domain.
hosted by 'mac layouts' [www.inferno.maclayouts.com] who saw potential in me she decided she would host me, as i thought i werent quite ready to own a full domain website
At first it was hard, coming from myspace simple HTML coding, to CSS coding, and using PHP and FTP formats and programmes. I had a stylesheet which i formatted for my layout, i knew how to do this as i'd div coded before, so it came simply,
However, although CSS coding came simply - it was the PHP coding that caught me out, it was incredibly hard to grasp at first, but though experimenting and abit of online help i managed to learn codes such as the php include code, div and header codes, hover etc.
I began building more and more content again, bouncing back from being deleted, Inferno made a comeback and was bigger than before. Getting incredible stats as 200+ unique hits in the space of a short days,
Being affilated with around 90-100 other sites helped alot this was free PR, my site built a costumer base as visitors liked the new content. I'd market and advertise my site through GOOGLE ADS, and though other graphic sites too.
Inferno.maclayouts was unfortunetly deleted, due unforseen reasons.. luckily it wasnt as bad as before as i saved my PHP codes, LITEBRITETM.COM owner - tifni helped me as she hosted my site whilst i decided if i wanted to invest in a domain or not, i decided i did and so here i am today at the beginning of INFERNOGRFX.NET.
I came to a decision that i took my graphic designs seriously, i wanted to improve and learn more about websites, and to do this i wanted to study new media as it's the core of who were are in this interactive world
Through the experience of infernogrfx
I use my graphic and website knowlege to market and promote school events, musical events, rock challenge.
I'll post these examples of my work up soon!
